Why Telehealth Works

You don't have to know exactly why it's happening before you ask for help.

DeepWaters LPC helps you understand and change the automatic behavior patterns that contribute to recurring problems in your relationships and quality of life, so you can respond with greater choice and find a different way forward.

Start With a Free Consultation

You know what happened. You just don't understand why.

Fight back

Turn against yourself

Turn against yourself

anger • criticism • blame • defensiveness

You get sharper, louder, more critical, or more defensive than you meant to.

Turn against yourself

Turn against yourself

Turn against yourself

shame • self-criticism • collapse

Conflict quickly becomes “I'm the problem” or “I can't do anything right.”

Try to control

Try to control

Try to control

fixing • pressuring • monitoring • overfunctioning

You take over, push for resolution, need certainty, or carry more than your share.

Get away

Try to control

Try to control

withdrawal • shutdown • avoidance • numbing

You go blank, stop talking, avoid, distract yourself, or emotionally disappear.

The behavior is visible on the surface. What drives it may be harder to see.

Bryan Snead, MA, NCC, LPC, LMFT-S

A therapist who believes understanding what's happening beneath the surface can create more freedom in what happens next.

I'm a counselor and marriage and family therapist, licensed in Texas and Colorado. My work integrates relational, experiential, trauma-informed, nervous-system and behavioral approaches based on what each client actually needs.

DeepWaters LPC was built around two ideas: what happens beneath the surface matters, and difficult work is easier when you have a safe harbor from which to explore it.

DeepWaters LPC is a private-pay practice.

Sessions are $160 per therapy hour (45-50 minutes).

If you're unsure whether private-pay therapy is right for you, we'd be happy to answer your questions during a free consultation.

See the FAQ "Why do many people choose private-pay therapy?"

DeepWaters LPC is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.

Choosing to remain outside insurance networks allows us to focus on providing thoughtful, individualized care without many of the restrictions that insurance plans may place on treatment. This often means greater flexibility in the frequency and length of therapy, fewer administrative barriers, and an added measure of privacy for your personal health information.

Many clients also appreciate that treatment decisions are made collaboratively between therapist and client, rather than being influenced by insurance requirements.

If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, we can provide a superbill that you may submit for possible reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance company to learn about your specific out-of-network coverage.

A complimentary 15-minute consultation allows us to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy, answer questions about our approach, and determine whether we're likely to be a good fit. If so, we'll answer any questions you might have and get scheduled for our next step.

Your first full session is about getting to know you and understanding more about what you would like to accomplish in our work together. We'll talk about your concerns, your goals, and any relevant history. We'll also tell you more about how we work and we will begin developing a plan that fits your needs.

DeepWaters LPC was built as a telehealth practice because therapy should be accessible, consistent, and easier to fit into real life.

For many clients, online therapy offers greater flexibility, privacy, and convenience while still allowing for depth, connection, and structured clinical work.

See the Telehealth Therapy FAQ

People often come to therapy after trying many things that haven't provided lasting change. My approach is structured, evidence-informed, and grounded in an understanding of how the nervous system, relationships, emotions, and life experiences interact.

I specialize in helping adults with chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, and relationship distress by identifying the patterns that keep people stuck and working collaboratively to create meaningful, sustainable change.

When appropriate and with your written permission, I also coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare providers to support a more integrated approach to treatment.

Something has to change.

You don't have to know exactly what yet.

You may not know why the pattern keeps happening. You may not know what you should do differently. You may simply know that the way things are going isn't working anymore.
That's enough of a place to start.
